It says it has 119 pages but the book we recieved onlu had 107 pages before it went to ads. So when on page 89, it says to go to page 114, we can't because there is no page 114
My 8 year old really enjoyed it. We read a story together until it ended then he went back and read it several more times using different choices. I liked that the stories are fairly short so he doesn't get bored with it. Anything that keeps him interested in reading is a plus in my book. He came across one or two other Minecraft choose your own adventure type books so I got those for him as well.
This book is not well written. There were errors of grammar and syntax as well as just some odd word choices- almost as though it was auto-translated. My 9yo thinks it’s fantastic though.
There is a choice that says 'go to page 114'There is something else in the book which says that the story is continued in the next book.SO: either the final copy I was sold is incomplete, or the book is incomplete and getting some of the endings requires buying another book. Dirty pool if dealing with adult products, absolutely unacceptable with children's products.Very, very disappointed, since my niece loved it, and was reading it to her younger brother. I was all set up to look for the sequal and get it for them soon, then we run into this bad copy or bait/switch of 'page 114'.DO NOT BUY!
My son loves Minecraft but he wasn't into these books. I read a couple of them with him and they just seemed... stupid? Iduno. Bleh storyline, I could have written it, yaknow?
Missing 'go to page 114' choice. Disappointing.
5yo and I are about a dozen pages in but the child is engaged and talks about the adventure outside of story time.It can be a bit basic and the font choice is awkward tho. Also, I would like a more clear distinction between the Author's note/prologue and the first page of actual reading.No pictures/illustrations.
Another poorly written self-published book of the sort proliferating on Amazon these days. Kids will probably still want to read it because they will pick up anything to do with Minecraft and the choices are limited, but there must be better choices.
