Excellent content in the absolute worst digital implementation I've seen for an official Kindle version of a book. Illegible on a Kindle3, slightly better on an Android phone. Wish I would have bought the physical copy instead.As Edward would say, "why exist?"
I didn't know what to expect since I bought it because of the NPR recommendation. But I have to say, what a little gem! I got it for me and my teenage daughter loved it too. It has so many delightful levels. Existential. Silly. Sad. Absurd. Reminds me of a combination of Beckett and How to Massage Your Cat. The illustrations are wonderful too. I think it would be a great gift for a teenager or college student since it takes a very brief time to read.
I am now buying this as a gift for the 5th time.This is a great book for someone who doesn't read, as well as anyone with a sense of humor. My kids and I have enjoyed reading it together, and if it's left on the coffee table or in the bathroom, I'll flip to a random page for a good laugh.
Best story I’ve read about a hamster. Dark and entertaining all the way through.
It is about a 25 min read and I must have laughed out loud a hundred times. Was also fun reading it out loud to a friend and have them laugh too. There are also many life messages and dark places but this is an absolute do not miss!!!
This book made Christmas for my granddaughter a little easier and it made her laugh which made me laugh. This first year after her dad died was a tough one for her and for me, and we grabbed any laughter we could get! Thanks, Edward!
