oved it!!! This book was so cute and silly and just awesome in that Meghan Quinn kind of way. And if you don't know who Ms. Quinn is check out my review of The Virgin Romance Novelist and yes it is still number 3 in my top 5 favorite books of 2015!!Anyway, I love Adam. He is just a sweet, sexy, big ****, corn-fed hottie from Nebraska. He is so lovable that you fall for him immediately. I loved his quirkiness and his compassion. His reason for needing the quick money will make you elevate his book boyfriend status.He stays true to himself and that I love the most.Solo (awesome name) is super cute but super insecure, however, she has the BEST. JOB. EVER. She gets to be in charge of hot male models and grease them up with baby oil. Um...are they hiring! I loved so many things about this character but what I love the most is a "spoiler" so you'll have to figure it out on your own.Characters aside lets talk about the story...it was pretty good. The chemistry between the main characters was hot and the build up to sexy time was fantastically done in that Meghan Quinn way. It had a small identity crisis at times but it doesn't take too much away from the story. The serious aspect of the story was yet wasn't needed. I found myself skimming during these parts as I didn't really like how they fit in the story. What I did start to wonder during my reading was how much of what Solo did for a living is how it really works in the male modeling industry. With the recent blow up of Male Models such as Nick Bateman, Brock O'hurn etc. I wonder how close to "real" this Top Model-esque details of this book really is. So I will give this book 4 stars and say it is ok to add this to the TBR list
Put the phrases "corn-fed, Nebraska-raised," "Star Wars," and "nerdy" all in the same book blurb, and I couldn't hit the BUY NOW button fast enough. Normally, I avoid a new adult romance book, but the thought that not one, but both MCs were sci-fi movie geeks of the first order made my little heart go pitter-patter. Happily, Meghan Quinn liberally spreads the geekdom around, as both Solo (yes, named after Han Solo) and Adam not only quote Star Wars catchphrases, but also have adorably awkward moments. But they both own it, and that makes this novel a ton of fun to read.Solo Cohan is the Girl Friday for Zia Teeg, owner and photographer for Teeg Models. Immediately after hayseed Adam James painfully stutters his way through his first modeling interview, he finds himself in barely there underwear with hot Solo spreading baby oil all over his pecs for a test shoot. The two hit it off immediately, bonding over - you guessed it - Star Wars. Despite being out of his element, Adam is well-grounded and modest, and there are early hints that he has had trials and tribulations in his young life. He's also not a player. He knows this about himself and approaches potential relationships with a solid maturity that book boyfriends seldom exhibit at the age of 20."I enjoyed having a girlfriend, someone I could talk to, hold, and spoil."Solo and Adam are cutey, cute, cute together. At times I felt like I was working on a cavity from the sweetness and thoughtfulness being tossed around, but I decided to go with it since it has been ages since I read about a young couple who were actually nice and respectful to one another. The niceties stopped at the door to the bedroom, though, because these two were seriously hot for each other. And maybe up for a little cosplay. Clearly, as a fitness model, Adam doesn't in any way resemble any of the guys on Big Bang Theory, and this geeky boy's got game."Not that I didn't like his goofy persona, I loved it actually, but in the bedroom, it was such a thrill to see him change into a domineering man."Until about 85% of the way into the book, the drama was on the low side. Watching these two get to know one another - along with their colorful families and the amusing guys in the model house - was terrific. The misunderstanding was telegraphed from a million miles away, but the last 15% of the book still held tension and elements of the unknown. I was a little disappointed in the brief epilogue, but perhaps we'll see more of Solo and Adam if Meghan Quinn picks up with some of the other Teeg Modeling men.
I give this book 5 stars!I really enjoyed the story of Adam and Solo. It's a sweet and endearing story. They were made for each other! Love the faithfulness of Adam even when others didn't trust him. Solo's dads are awesome, funny as hell, so I can see why she loves the so much.Adam is a genuine guy, loving his family and making sure they are taken care of, first and foremost!It takes a real man to fill the shoes he did, when things got tough, he did what he was supposed to do. And any girl would be a damn fool to not see that!They always say you can tell how great a guy is by the way he treats his mother, well that right there was enough proof for me, that he loved and took care of Solo as well.Also glad that Zia understands and will keep her hands to herself, she's kinda slutty already, so no reason to need Adam!I would love to read more about Adam and Solo!It shouldn't just end like that, which I'm clearly satisfied about, but there's so much more we can read about with them two!Thanks for a great story!Really enjoyed it!
This book was scorching hot. It was filled with hot male models. Enough said. Lol.Adam was the perfect book bf. Seriously, he had no flaws. He was too perfect. He had the perfect body, face, and devotion. Sigh!! There wasn't a thing wrong with him and he honestly did not do a thing to infuriate me in the book at all usually the hero does something obnoxious that causes angst in the book but not this guy. He was sweet and righteous til the end.Solo, she was awesome as well. Her display of insecurity was well justified. Anyone in her shoes would have reacted the same in the book. But I loved her witty nerdy personality.Definitely a fun light hearted read.
